Hi butterflyna, atp, and efreeman75,
Congratulations on setting a quit date and taking the steps to becoming smoke-free!
butterflyna, I believe it may be helpful to consider setting a date in a manner that works for you, as efreeman75 shared. If you smoke on January 31, but then stop smoking that day, you may consider this your quit date. If you choose to see your quit date as February 1, no one will tell you otherwise! The choice is definitely yours.
As atp and efreeman75 shared, they chose a quit date as the first day they were free of smoking (and it sounds as though the birthing analogy was helpful for you making a choice).
Best of luck and keep us updated on your progress! Again, congratulations!
Warmly,
Kate R
