Hi sm0k3n0m0r3,
Good for you for deciding to quit. It is the best decision you could ever make.
Stress is a very common trigger. You have to try to figure out other ways to handle it, because you will always have stress in your life. I quit cold turkey 3 years ago. When I was stressed, I would stop and try to breathe deeply and relax. I reiterated to myself that smoking would not help, and in fact, would only make matters worse as I was committed to my quit. At first it was really hard, but it got easier over time.
Use your slip as a learning tool. Think about things you could have done other than lighting up a cigarette. I think all of us used smoking as our "go to" for just about everything. So we have to relearn how to do things without smoking, and that takes time. Glad to hear you're not beating yourself up. Just keep trying your best. You will get there.
