Tomorrow will be 2 weeks smoke free for me!!!

As I start to feel better about my new self and look forward to staying smoke free I wanted to say a few thanks to those that helped me get through the most trying days at the start of my quit.

My wife was an amazing support for me, and continues to listen daily to me talking through reasons to keep my quit, my daily struggles, craving, etc.

The SHL Quit Coaches for offering words of encouragement in response to my posts.

To the former smokers who continue to contribute and post words of wisdom and support. Their posts helped me a lot by the perspective they were able to provide.

All the people who are currently going through a quit and posting their experiences, offering support, etc. It gave me added incentive to continue knowing that I wasn't the only one.

For me, posting through my quit, and reading a lot of prior posts, were a key part of my quit strategy. It really gave me reason to keep keep going. I hope that maybe my posts will have helped someone else as well.

So thank you all for being a part of my support team for the start of my quit! You all helped make a difference in my getting this far. It's not every day you can say you helped save a life (or at least helped extend one).

    Andy P.

Have you thought of a way to reward yourself for your success so far?

    Hey atp

Congratulations.  You're doing the work and it's quite evident you are determined to succeed.

Every one of us adds something to this forum, no matter what stage we are at in our quit.  Like yourself, I have found this place has been a tremendous source of information and inspiration.  I think we are all too happy to give back what we can while taking what we need.
