I KNOW I CAN DO IT
I didn't think i could quit
I must admit
Had tried before
Would do no more.
I wanted to more than anything though
But for years it went on, i just couldn't let go
Then COPD raised its ugly head
NOPE no more, i finally said
I don't know why it went on so long
It smells and tastes like donkey dong
Teeth stained yellow, nails of blue
Choke you to death before its through
No way that's gonna happen to me
I've made the choice to be smoke-free!
I breathe better now, smell better too
Hope i can do some things i use to do.
Golf, bowl, dance and sing
oh there was many a thing
With exercise and due care
I just might be able to get there
No nicotine now to bar my way
I know i'll get there day by day
The worst is past, I have a new goal
To heal myself and again be whole
To thine own self be true
I believe i can do it, i do , I do!
