    Hi everyone,

Now that we are finally having warmer days, this a is a good time to keep ourselves distracted and busy.

Try being more mindful. Why? Creating space in the day to stop, come down from the worried mind, and get back into the present moment has been shown to be enormously helpful in mitigating the negative effects of our stress response. Being in the present, we’re more
likely to gain perspective and see that we have the power to regulate our response to
    pressure.

    Here's how:
    1. Stop and out things down.
    2. Take a few breaths in focusing on the breathing in and out.
    3. Observe- your thoughts, emotions, body. Can you name your emotion, any pain or aches, and what's on your mind?
    4. Proceed with something that will support you in the moment; talk to a friend, rub your shoulders, have a cup of tea.

Treat this whole experience as an experiment. You can manage stress doing this just 5-10min a day. Try this activity when prepping a meal, taking a shower, eating a meal, at a stop light, or when walking.

    Cheers,

    Jenna C
