You got it; practice is the key. A lifestyle change is not going to happen overnight, even though we would like it to. And it takes getting used to as well. But 1 month in is a huge accomplishment. You certainly deserve those back pats you have been giving yourself on a daily basis. Taking it ODAAT too is great, because it avoids thinking of the daunting big-picture.
eagerquit - I love this perspective! You highlight how we see ourselves as non-smokers which can be an important part of quitting. In contrast to cec57, you prefer to think long-term big-picture in order to keep going. This is awesome too because of this visualization of self. To each his own.
This just goes to show that even though there are so many ideas we can get from others out there, we each have to cater our plan to what will work for ourselves. Each having our own blank page to create.
