Hello! I have tried in the past to quit, but always end up back where I started. I've smoked for decades and too often feel anxious and stressed during my challenging days. Smoking seems to hold me together, but I also know it's time to quit because my health is being seriously affected by years of smoking. I truly want to be free of this addiction, but I stress about the side effects and shock to my body. I'm trying to taper off, but something comes up to make me feel stressed, and I immediately react by ditching the plan. Joining this forum is a big leap for me as I tend to one of those who feels they have to do everything on their own. While I go out of my to help other people, I rarely think to ask for help for myself. So: here I am. Any advice you can give me to get back on track, would be very much appreciated. Thank you advance.
