I have to say I really admire you for how far you've come and how much you are giving back to those coming along behind you.

I had to look this up from one of your early posts back in August:

Last night I found myself curled under a blanket on my Lazy-Boy chair watching re-runs of Seinfeld while tears ran down my cheeks and truly believing the rest of my life was going to be one big miserable waste of time if I didn’t smoke!!! And even as my husband rubbed my back trying to comfort me, I wanted to chew his arm off up to the elbow!

That was after you started off so strong, and you also had a slip. BUT, you stuck it out and now look at you - all positive and upbeat! You deserve to bask in the glow of your achievement.

Wow, thanks atp, and I'm proud to be walking in your footsteps. You helped me to believe I really could do this, and it's important to me to help others believe that they can as well!

That post you pulled up is proof, right? When I wrote that last August, never could I have imagined where I would be today.

I'm okay now if I have a "phantom" craving. It doesn't frighten me the way it used to. I'm on the final step of the patch, and although I feel a slight trepidation, I know I've got ot the chops now to deal with whatever might show up.

Again, thanks for the props, atp. It really means a lot.

Ps. The steel cut oats?? I finally nailed it!

    LOL,

Those steel cut oats saved my quit in the early days. The time I spent just standing over the pot stirring.....Now I've started to add a dash of cinnamon and the occasion drop of vanilla. Getting all fancy about it.
