I changed my quit date for the last time.
I changed it to Wednesday, September 19th.
I did this because I still have cigarettes to last me 2 more days.
I can't bring myself to throw them out or destroy them.
Once they are gone, thats it, no more temptation.
    Please accept my apologies.
I'll keep checking in, but please don't tell me to just get rid of them when I can't seem to do it.

    Hi good Buddy

Nothing to apologize is just part of the quit!
I did not quit at all at the beginning, it took me few months to stop for good, did I relapse, so many times!
Until, one day I come down with an other Plan! And stop complete, No more for good! And I can Not Smell it!

Next time you will be stronger

Do not forget, we are quitting Smoking, a bad habit for too long.
In same way, We quit for good!
    One day at the Time!

    Thank you Brieffee,
I actually did find the courage to douse the rest of my cigarettes in water early this morning.
I really didn't want to smoke them, but they were there.
Now all the temptations are gone, I threw out all my ashtrays, lighters and the doused cigarettes.
I feel good about this, so I quit officially at about 5:00 am this morning.
I am hoping and praying for no more slips.

    Hi Good Buddy,

Congratulations on your quit! You said you couldn't get rid of the cigarettes, but you did it
Through your courageous steps in getting rid of your ashtrays, lighters and cigarettes, your chances of slipping are significantly reduced.

Sometimes thinking of what caused past slips can help you successfully navigate them in the future. Many people who quit experience slips, so we invite everyone to share their experience to support one another.

As Brieffree mentioned, you'll be stronger with every attempt.

    All the best,

    Marianne

    Thank you Marianne,
I am finding it easier not having those temptations around.
I encourage anyone who is struggling to get rid of any temptations to smoke,
To just get rid of them, don't even think about it like I did for days. Just to it!!
    It makes a huge difference.
    Wishing everyone good luck.

I have changed my quit date again and again,
Right now I am unable, I have struggled, been struggling, not only with trying to quit, but with my day to day life which is jam-packed with stresses and trying to quit is stressing me out even more.
I am a little frustrated because I can't change my quit date on the dashboard to anything but another quit date which I am not ready to do right now.
I say right now because I am going to try again, I just don't know when.

Sorry, I can't do it right now.
I am not going to explain again what I am going through because I have already done this several times in other posts.

    Hi good buddy,

That's ok. I'm pretty sure that everyone here understands how you feel!

Quitting is often frustrating, even in easy times. Sometimes it can help to taka a break from quitting for a while -- and then come back feeling stronger. Hold on to what you've learned about quitting so far (like getting rid of temptations, as you posted about a few days ago) and then use it when the time is right!

I don't know if you're also getting one-on-one support via calls with the Quit Coaches yet. If not, sometimes a talk with a Quit Coach can help if you're feeling stuck, frustrated, etc.. The number is 1-877-513-5333.

Lots of credit to you for your hard work and the strength you've shown. I know you'll get there eventually!

    Regards,
    Efram

Thank you for your understanding, but I am now getting new emails about the last quit date I set which was supposed to be tomorrow morning, Sept, 25. I can't change my quit date on the dashboard to no quit date, only a new quit date, so I am going to keep getting emails and it's making me feel bad because right now I can't set a quit date.
Yes, I have been in contact on the phone lines with quit coaches, but right now I don't want to talk to them as I am not quitting yet. I don't want to talk to them and feel bad that I didn't make it this time.

Thank you to the phone support coaches, they figured out how I could turn off getting emails.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me.
I will be back when I am ready to try again.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.
