My first day was rough. I had plans to do a bunch of stuff, but I scrapped most things. I was bonkers, mostly. Couldn't concentrate, memory issues, and feeling very tired . It got better in the evening and I think I meditated 5 times yesterday. Now I'm up super early again and pushing forward. I hope today is better than yesterday.

    Hi there gomez,

Oh my quit-friend, I can relate! I had so many plans in place and I think I managed following through on, well, nothing!

All I could manage was sleeping, watching tv shows that I'd never admit to watching, being an absolute jerk to my husband and crying. Yes, I cried a lot.

Something that changed, and helped me, was committing wholeheartedly to my quit. When it was super hard I came here to read about what others experienced. I researched and learned exactly what was happening to me both physically and mentally.

I took up mindful meditation and keep a journal to vent, and to reflect. Something that really made a difference was I stopped putting expectations on the day. Whatever it looked like was how I approached it. If I'm have a lot if cravings, then that's just what the day is. If I'm having a good day, I embrace it but don't expect it to be every day.

Keep us posted, gomez, and just take it an hour at a time. We've got your back!

    Thanks for replying.
Yup watched a whole lot of tv, which I usually don't. Avoided most people, so I was not grumpy.
I meditate and journal everyday. I think I meditated 5-6 times yesterday.
You're right, I'll let what comes come, for the first few days.
