This is day 14 on Chantix and day 6 of not smoking at all. I was a long time smoker, 40+ years at about a pack a day. I must admit I NEED to quit but I don’t want to quit. I really really enjoy having a cigarette. Does that make sense? Or sound stupid? I am going to do everything I can to succeed at this but it is how I feel. Crazy! I have been able to beat the cravings and am feeling really good about it. I have already noticed I don’t cough as much and don’t have the wheeze I did have.

Hello picher - Welcome to SHL.ca, and congratulations on your quit!!

What you shared - that you used to enjoy smoking - is common! And thank you for being so honest about the feelings you're having, because you are NOT the only one who feels this way.

And yet, you shared some of the benefits you're enjoying by being a non-smoker...thats quite exciting for you.
You are getting through the cravings and being open to the quit process...great work!

Thinking of you & keep it up. You CAN do this!
    Sarah
