Nicole,
Congrats on getting through that first hell week!
I did cold turkey as well and found that the first week was a total fog.
The first 2-3 weeks I was tired and in bed by 8pm most nights, but tossing and turning and restless. It is our bodies way of getting used to not having nicotine and also starting to heal. That first week or so of the quit is an amazing change. I started to smell better, I could breathe a lot better, that constant cough and nasal congestion was going away.
I think it took until almost the 4th week before my sleep patterns normalized.
Before quitting I usually went for a smoke before bed, and then I often got up early (say around 5am and had a couple of smokes with coffee. The interesting thing is that my wife started to cuddle with me more when i went to bed (amazing what not smelling like an ashtray can do for romance) and I started to sleep in a bit longer and drink less coffee.
Make the best of it, grab a book and take the time to read if you are restless, it will pass in due time.
