He'll everyone, what abreeze of fresh air to see how everyone is on this journey to be free from this slavery!!

My renew self decide to take the leap of faith and jump into this journey and become free since January 6th, not a special day just a regular day, had my last one at 6pm and that was it!

I decided to journal here on my journey as I don't have much support around me and still want to give a word of encouragement to others. It is as easy as you believe it to be. It's a choice, didn't decide to start but I can at least decide to stop.

Installed a tracking app and I am now at:
    6 days
    150 hours
    And 180 sticks not smoked
Using the patch and the losanges.

    We can do this!!!!

Your doing great.  Your right there's freedom when we quit. We become stronger. It has its moments. But you can do this. Herbal tea and deep breathing helps me alot.  I say nope, all the time. Not one puff ever. When I get up in the morning and have my tea I suck on a mint candy. I have straws I play with. Keeps my hands busy.  I even meditate some times. Taking walks also helps. You got this.  Give yourself a pat on the back, and say how awesome you are.

You are right, we become stronger. We got this. A straw hey, so far the losanges and work keeps me busy enough, but I will keep that in mind along with deep breathing. I do go for walks even if just 5-10 min at a time. It's cold but if feels good to have done something else than damaging my health. Thanks for the virtual pat on the back:)

    Hi me_n_freedom,

I love the fact that you are going for a walk every day, even if it's just a short one.  Isn't it nice to do something that is healthy for you instead of something that's not?  I think it's also good for your mental health as well.  I live alone and find going out for walks makes me feel less isolated and more a part of the world.  And I know it's good for my physical health, too.

Tracking apps are wonderful.  Your app will help to motivate you to keep going, as you see how much progress you are making.  I still take a peak at my stats from time to time and marvel at how much money I have saved, how much time I have gained, and how much healthier my lungs and heart are.

You are changing your life in such a positive way -  WooHoo!  Keep going, you've got this!

thank you for your word of encouragement, it means a lot to me. I ami for a walk a day, I try to do it around lunch time, to gain a new health habits. Lately it's been a short quick turn around the corner cuz the wind was blowing and was so cold. But I bundle up and go almost everyday. Sometime I go outside in the backyard but since it where I used to smoke I get triggered and try to avoid it for now  just choosing a new approach this time.
I also didn't give up drinking coffee, I need it in the morning, so that everything else around me stays the same and only this bad habit changed. Trying it, it works so far.

    Stats: 200 hours
    8 days
    Woot woot
    Let's keep going

One day at a time. My journey is going well. Not getting the cravings/urges as often now anymore but when they do strike they can be a bit intense and if there was an open pack nearby Id definitely be having one. But I just try to breath deep, use the mist spray and remind myself the reasons I want to quit. Looking at the stats on here daily really helps keep the motivation. And of course reading about other peoples experiences round the same time into the quit really helps too. Reminds me we're not alone and it can be done with a bit of effort and holding on.

Exactly a good way to look at it. One craving at a time and remembering why we are on this journey. Ups and down but with our head held up high. We got this!!!
