Hey, how you doing, my name is smitty, I have been quit now for almost 4 1/2 months, its getting pretty rough eh, I quit by using a combo therapy of the patch and the spray, i planned my quit carefully, went to my doctor and he referred me to a quit coach, she supplied the patches and the spray for me free of charge, the only catch was that I follow the plan, I followed the plan and then I realized one day that its been 3 weeks since I last used a patch, the thing is prettyinpink, what works for me, may not work for you, you have to figure out something that works for you, I
would suggest that you go see your family doctor and see if you can get into a smoking cessation program, I am not saying that you cant do it cold turkey but you will stand a better chance if you get some help, but if you are determined to go cold turkey then I would get some scotch mints, or some chewing gum just to keep your mouth moving, the other thing that I tried was going for walks, deep breathing, and most importantly drink lots of water distract yourself, find a hobby, do some gardening, just be patient with yourself and if you do slip, get back up of the ground and try again, because Im going to tell you the truth, your in for the fight of your life, be patient with yourself and don't get discouraged and you will do fine, I would also suggest that you talk with one of the quit couched here on this site, they are a very good source of encouragement, when your feeling down talk to someone, it helps, all the best in your journey
