    Hi sams,

I hear you.  I smoked for over 43 years and quitting cold turkey was a real shock to my system.  But it was well worth it.

Try to do things to distract yourself.  Maybe change some of your routines so you don't fall into your normal smoking habits.  When a craving hits, try to wait 10 minutes, because anyone can wait 10 minutes.  Then wait another 10 minutes, and so on, until it passes.  Have naps when you can, because you don't crave when you sleep.  Make a list of all the reasons why you want to quit, and read it often.  Drink lots of water to help remove toxins from your body.  And remember NOPE (Not One Puff Ever).  If you never take that first puff, you will be a non-smoker forever.

Good luck, sams.  You can do this.  Believe in yourself!

Congratulations on one full day os no smoking. Thats not an easy thing to do.
Keep thinking of all the good things that not smoking will bring. Are you using any NRT? I used the patches this quit and they really helped.. the cravings were still there but they helped big time.
