   Awww...i was expecting so much more for this site .. I have difficulty with change I will admit .. it would of been nice to keep our anniversary and testimonials .. avatars .. quit meter .. just add from there instead of taking away .. guess I'll have to explore some more in my spare time .. Hi everyone!! .. I miss you all!!

   It's great to be here. I'm a member of the old forums under a new name, so it will be really nice to see everyone again. The new place looks amazing. I like it. :)

   Very disappointing to lose all the old data. There was a wealth of information on the old site, many people spent hours and hours writing, supporting and helping people and now it is all for nought. Big shame. Why not just import all the old information into the new site.

   I'm a "graphical" type of person...
   I prefer to see pictures / etc. included in posts, as I find that it adds a "human" element to the forum...I hope to see that option improved upon in the days to come.
   
   In the interim, I've got to say that the most disappointing loss of feature is our "QUIT METER" that would be appended to each post we make.  PLEASE tell me that they're working on this.

   Comments.... Why do the most recent posts arrive on the bottom of the thread? 
   The new SHO needs someone to teach it some math... In my dashboard I've recorded that I quit in 2013 and it is congratulating me for being 1 year smoke free?????

   My first post on the new site!  Yesterday was a bad craving day, but I made it through it.  I'm at just over three months and every time I think the cravings have subsided they come back and sometimes with a vengeance. One day at at time!

   GREAT to see you've joined the new forum!
   I agree that it would be great to have the most recent post at the TOP, but I'm sure that they're still in testing mode to see how things work out...
   
   Yeah - I was kind've looking forward to seeing the "3yrs smoke-free", and mine only says 1yr too.  Must be a small bug in the system.  At least the mileage is properly displayed in our own private dashboards for now.
   
   As for viewing "other posts" while replying to a new thread, you just need to click on the top of the new window that opens, and scroll down.  (The previous posts are there).
   Kind've a weird layout, but I'm sure we'll all adapt eventually.

    Yeah - I can relate about those "bad days" and they DO seem to return with a vengeance as you say, without any kind of warning.  It probably seems weird to you that you still have those "bad craving days" - even 90 days into your QUIT, but with this amount of time under your belt, you likely find those cravings to be much more manageable than that first dreaded month.  :O
    
    I hate to say it, but even after my first year, I occasionally had those days as well.  My best advise is to practice your slow, focused breathing and reflect on your awesome accomplishment that you've already made.
    
    3 months is quite an accomplishment!!! Have you been regularly rewarding yourself with each 'milestone' achieved?
    How have you decided to reward yourself / and how often??

    Heheheh - yeah, it seems like FOREVER since I first joined the original site, but there isn't a single day that goes by where I'm not reminded that this same support group was a substantial part of the WHY I was able to maintain my QUIT all this time!  :)
    
    It's good to see all of the familiar names slowly migrating over from the old forum to this fresh new spot, and I'm sure that many of the little nuances that appealed most to each of us members will find their way to this forum as well.
    
    I have ensured that my own page of online resources has been kept in working form through the years, and I've added to it each time someone has made a suggestion...
    Hopefully, more people will benefit from those resources as time goes on:

    Wow!!!  all of that great info at our fingertips gone with the switch over...Was really hard to sign on as already quit....I miss all the creative pics everyone had up...seems so cold and clinic like now.  I loved how everyone had their own touch to their profile and quit meter available on their message profile.    Not sure if this site is any easier to get around....oh well it is what it is!

    Buttingout2014- love how you credit the community members so often for your successful smoke-free status.  Totally agree with you, it is special to see how the strong bond you all have together carried you to this new site.  And no doubt this warm unity will draw the new visitors to want to participate by becoming members.  
    
    Some of you are expressing some feelings of loss around older posts and pictures which makes so much sense.  Us Quit Coaches feel for you and at the same we too are experiencing this as we shared in many posts and met many members.  I am even remembering what it felt like when I lost all my holiday photos in a flash.  The recovery didn't work so I could just retrieve what I could gather from my friend (who didn't take nearly has many photos as I did).  I grieved for a while.  Overtime, I realized the memories are still embedded within and since then many more memorable moments and trips have taken place.  So let's hope we can get there as well with much more history to make!

    Margie55- so wonderful you made it through a difficult day of craving and 3 months to acknowledge- congratulations!  One day at a time is a great motto and working for you since it got you this far.  Any idea what is behind those moments for you?  Any triggers that you can possibly identify?  As buttingout2014 shared, you must be managing better now than at the beginning.  And rewards in some shape or form for your milestones certainly are an important part of your journey.

    Congratulations on your 3 months.  Wow, that seemed to just fly by, at least for me, I'm sure not for you!  Unfortunately, you will continue to get cravings off and on, even though a lot of time has passed.  I still get them, and I am 11 months in.  That's why I always say that this is one tough addiction to beat.  You have to stay vigilant and keep your guard up, because one minute you're fine and the next, bam!  Sometimes I know what triggered my craving, but sometimes it just seems to come out of nowhere.   But for the most part, it does get easier to deal with cravings as time goes on.
    
    At this point in your quit, if you had a cigarette, it would probably hurt your lungs, taste awful, and give you a head rush. And it would immediately push you back to square one, because we all know that you can't have just one.  So it's best to keep all of that in mind and remember to stick to Not One Puff Ever.  If you do that, you will be okay.
    
    I hope your cravings ease off.  I know they are not pleasant to go through.

    Hello everyone, CatLady here....I see some familiar names and maybe more will find their way back.  I too, am quite sad with the loss of so much.  I was so proud to look back at the hall of fame and see my story there.  I'm not even sure I remember what it said exactly, it would be exciting if they were able to bring some of the old stuff here. So many spent hours writing about their journeys and it was so helpful, they all were.  Sparky and I didn't always see eye to eye, but with his passing, how will the new bunch benefit from the old timers like him and so many others?  As they say, upward and onward..........and yes, pictures,  We need to be able to 'paint the walls and hang some curtains and really make it a place of true comfort and sharing!!
    
    I quit on March 12, 2013, hard to believe that my FIVE year anniversary is coming up!
