Hi ginnyj,
I love your idea of brushing your teeth when you get a bad craving. What a smart thing to do.
You know, now that I am a non-smoker, it's a bit easier for me to get my teeth cleaned, because I don't have as much plaque and tar on my teeth. And one of the things I really love now is that after I brush my teeth, my mouth stays fresh. I no longer get that tobacco taste in my mouth a few minutes after brushing. Just another benefit of quitting.
Hang in there, ginnyj. Remember, withdrawal is awful but it won't last forever. Keep your eye on the prize, and take it one step at a time. You are doing great, and you can beat this addiction.
