    Yep,
I am proud to say I have been free for more than a month now.
Don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me but I caught something that kept me in bed for the pas 2 weeks. Maybe it's the toxins leaving my body or maybe it's the supressed emotions that are coming out now that I don't smoke anymore. But it's something.
Haven't had a craving as I am just thankful of not smoking while I recover.
    It is possible to quit.

    Hi me_n_freedom,

WOOHOO, congratulations on being smoke free for 5 weeks!  Way to go!

I'm sorry to hear you caught some kind of bug.  But you are right.  Thank goodness you are no longer smoking.  It is much easier to recover from illness as a non-smoker.  And as time goes on, it will get easier and easier to remain smoke free.

You are proof positive that it IS possible to quit if you set your mind to it.  You should be really proud of yourself, me_n_freedom.  You have done something amazing, and when you are feeling better, you should do something nice for yourself to celebrate this wonderful achievement!

    Hi me_n_freedom,

First of all, congratulations on being smoke free!
I'm sorry to hear you caught something that kept you in bed for the past 2 weeks.

    How are you feeling now?

Please note that withdrawal may feel bad but it means that your body and mind are repairing themselves. You are getting healthy and un-addicted to nicotine. Withdrawal usually starts a few hours after you quit and may peak in 2 or 3 days.

Each smoker has different withdrawal symptoms. The most common are:
    •Intense cravings for nicotine.
•Tingling in the hands and feet.
    •Sweating.
    •Nausea and abdominal cramping.
    •Constipation and gas.
    •Headaches.
    •Coughing.
    •Sore throat.

You should begin to feel better very soon. Some people get through it quickly, while for others it can take longer. If your symptoms persist for a long time, then see your Doctor.

As you say it is possible to quit and I'm glad you said it yourself!
Your goal is to stay smoke free one day at a time!

Please don't hesitate to call us for additional support at 1-877-513-5333
