   I hear you. Hopefully I'm done with my numerous quit attempts and this is the one that I stick. Keep posting and let us know your plans.

   Can you remember what tripped you up in the past?  What can you do differently this time?  It is great to be determined, but it is also important  to have a plan of action.  Are you planning to use any NRTs?  Will you be telling your family and friends that you are quitting?  What will you do when a craving hits?  These are just some of the things you need to think about when planning to quit.

   Hi, I was successfully quit for about a year..then my oldest daughter had a botched  surgery that almost killed her. I was back & forth to the hospital  & looking after her farm for over a week. Everyday I had to walk through the cloud of smoke at the entrance to the hospital. On one particularly distressing day I came out in tears & one of the people smoking at the entrance offered me a cigarette...I was done. One wasn’t enough, so I bought a pack etc, etc

   I am very determined! Using patches & gum. Just keep telling myself I can get through this one day at a time!

   How terrible is that for you to have to walk through a cloud of smoke at the hospital and lose your quit there. 
   
   You know what though - its no big deal. you know the why, now you just need to get back onto your quit. 
   
   I've often worried about relapsing, even after a year quit. I feel that even one smoke and I could be back to a pack a day. 
   
   NOPE. (not one puff ever).

   I haven't posted in a bit ... this site was giving me some technical grief.  But I've read your posts and want you to know how great you're doing! Three days is great .... and yes, you're doing this!!
   
   I'm six months into  my quit and I've never succeeded this long with any of my past attempts. I still take it one day at a time and never underestimate the power this addiction can have over me.  I know I can never have "just one" puff because as you know.... there's no such thing as just one, right?
   
   Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing brilliantly!  Keep us posted of your progress.
