Hi stary sunshine,
It is great that you want to quit smoking again. Good for you!
I know it can be hard to resist when you are surrounded by smokers. But you can't let other people interfere with your goals. A few of my sisters still smoke, along with some of my good friends. Had I let them influence me, I wouldn't be where I am today. I have now been a non-smoker for over 2.5 years, and quitting was the best thing I have ever done for myself.
When you quit, you have to learn how to deal with stressful situations without lighting up. You also have to try to avoid triggers. So, for example, if you are with friends who smoke, you can ask them to smoke outside if they normally smoke indoors. Or if outside, perhaps you can walk away for a few minutes so you won't be tempted. It is all about making adjustments to suit your needs.
Making a significant change in your life is difficult, but it is also very rewarding. Quitting will improve your health significantly. You will breathe better and have more energy. Your clothes will not smell like smoke. And you will enjoy the freedom that comes with being a non-smoker.
You are going through withdrawal right now, which is not pleasant. But hang in there, stary sunshine, because quitting is worth it. You can do this. Just take it one step at a time.
