Tomorrow will be a week of being smoke free.  I have quit many addictions in the past, but truly believe nicotine and cigarettes is the hardest.  I have changed my routine around and have started exercising and I feel really good.  Pretty much, the biggest annoying thing about smoking for me was that it left me feeling tired and breathless.  I was poisoning myself.  Plus, the saved $$$ is always nice.  I haven't smoked since a young age, I started at 29 combined with drinking, so it is just the habit of smoking that I need to get rid of.  I am sober now for 6 years, so quitting cigarettes is the next think for me to do.  I am on champix and barely have any cravings!  I really want to quit and pray that this will manifest in my life.

    Hi franny,

First of all Congratulations on being one week smoke free! Way to go!

Quitting this awful addiction is extremely hard. Sounds like you understand the power of addiction & know the struggles that come with quitting.

I quit on Champix too, a few months ago & don’t believe I would of been able to without it.

Keep up up the good work of being smoke free! One day at a time franny.

    Awesome work Franny.

I'm glad you notice the downsides of smoking - it will make not smoking all the more beneficial and rewarding.

Keep your mindset and you will get there.
