It’s been 11 days since I quit.  I’ve been wearing the patch for more than 7 years off and on.  Have quit several times but just got the scare of my life spending 5 days in intensive care because of my COPD and Asthma.  Not going back, the only way to do it is to heal my lungs, so no more cigs for me.  So that’s my story, eventhough I was only smoking a few it was still too many.  I could use everyone’s support, thank you!  😃

    Hi sierrarose,

Welcome to the community and thank you for sharing your story with us. 11 days smoke-free is such a fantastic start and I can see how determined you are to make this quit stick. I’m so sorry you had to go through the ICU, that must have been a really scary experience. It’s inspiring to see how you’re turning this into motivation to care for your lungs and stay smoke-free.

Using the patch is a great tool and it can really help you stay on track as well as manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms, especially in these early days.

You’ve shown so much strength already and we’re all here to support you through this. You got this sierrarose!
