Hi Everyone Its been 146 days since I had a cigarette nop and it was so toush in the beginning , I still see smokers while I drive and walk outside and sometimes struggle as my Mom who lives with me still smokes. I mark off everyday in a calendar that I didn't smoke and I check this page for days smoke free every morning if I can. I feel like I wont go back but it's still could happen as I have quit before but I feel like I have really made progress

    Hi alexjw,

WooHoo, 146 smoke free days!  You are a rock star!  You should be so proud of yourself, especially since your Mom is still smoking and she lives with you.  It shows how strong and committed you are.  Way to go!

You have worked really hard to get to this point.  Keep it going.  Focus on today.  If you stay smoke free today, and every day in the future, you will remain a non-smoker.  Remember, Not One Puff Ever!

    Hi alexjw,

146 days, that's awesome.  Be proud of yourself.

It's about then, the 3 to 4 month period, when things started to become a little easier for myself.  I stopped being envious of smokers I would pass on the street, and rather began to feel sympathy for them.  I would see someone smoking in their vehicle and appreciated that my car did not have that foul stench any longer.

Alex, it's good that you're regularly checking your status here.  It motivates us and keeps us from going back to THE DARK SIDE.

    alexjw,

way to go. You have it tough, and despite that, here you are. It makes your success all the more incredible!

Happy to hear you are keeping yourself accountable by tracking the days, and we love to hear about it too!

Good for you for thinking ahead about relapse prevention. At the same time, if thinking long-term is causing stress, try to still take it one craving at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time, etc. Whatever you need...

    Keep up the hard work,

    Jenna Lee
