   Hello all,
   I'm on Day 12 of no smoking! - and day 22 of Champix... It's my third go around with Champix (over the past 10 years) and each time is different. This time around has been the easiest side effect wise - however, the tiredness and big head feeling has caused me to cut the dose in half for the past 3 days (.5 morning and .5 night) I definitely felt the craves come on strong but I want to get through this... I'm going stop the meds all together tomorrow and go cold turkey - Week one felt hard despite the champix! so hopefully it doesn't get worse than it is now - I just dont want to delay full withdrawal and experience the medication side effects!

   Congratulations on your first 12 days.  Way to go!
   
   I can understand that you are experiencing some side effects from the Champix and want to go off it.  But maybe you should at least get the Nicorette Mist to help you through the rough times.  I just don't want you to get too discouraged when the going gets tough and not have anything to help you through.  You have almost made it through your first two weeks.  I hope you can keep your momentum going.  Stay in touch, because we are all here for you.

   I agree with treepeo... Those medications and nicotine replacements are tools to help soften up the load so that you can focus on changing the habits and keep strong. It may be good idea to have an option ready if you find yourself being overwhelmed...
   
   Congratulations on 12 days. It is a wonderful accomplishment.
