I just quit 3 days ago and am using the patch and the mints.  Took a couple days off work to get started to limit the stress a bit.  Hopefully when I go back I will be able to continue.  Building up my confidence and getting through the first few days at home quietly.

I am already noticing I am definitely breathing easier.  Actually I noticed more air after the first 24 hours.

I quit last year at this time just by coincidence it brought up my last quit date.  I have attempted to quit many times before but have had trouble getting beyond my first year being a nonsmoker.  So I guess my first major goal would be to be able to get over that first year.  But I realize I have to make it there first.  I did however find this forum very helpful and will continue to check in periodically as I go.  Good luck everyone.

You can do it.. Keep trying. Your lungs will love you for it.  deep breathing helps and gets easier as you go a long,  Remember Nope, Not One Puff Ever. I say that everyday and it sure helps. Pat yourself on the back for all the hard work. This isn't easy. say how awesome you are for quitting,

Well done for deciding to give quitting another go. Focus on all the good points and use that as motivation to keep going. Set your start date in the tracker on here and watch the days go by on your dashboard. Im on day 51 and was right where you are only a few weeks ago. If I can do it.. anyone can.
This forum is a treasure chest of information. So helpful to read what other users experience and go through and how they coped. As well as tips along the way from the coaches and long term quitters. Everyone here understands and its a great place to vent... have a little rant when the cravings hit.

Stay focused, you can do this.

    Hi mlm,

Welcome & congratulations to you in getting back to the business of quitting! I struggled like you, quit several times for months at a time, & just couldn’t make it past my first year. Good news is I finally did & you can too! Wishing you all the best with your quit journey! Take Care!
