    Hello
I've finally quit. Still get the cravings but I don't give in.  I am currently taking Zyban. Has anyone else taken it and gotten really wicked vivid dreams? Or not being able to sleep properly?? I do not want to start again. Just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one.

    Hello lilladyk,

Congratulations on quitting! Just in case no one else here on the forums has had side-effects like this from Zyban, I wanted to mention that sleep disruption is one of the more common side-effects. So, no, you're not the only one.

If taking two pills per day, take the last one at least four hours before bed (and at least eight hours after the first pill). You could also talk to your doctor about taking only one pill per day. Your pharmacist could also provide support in this area if you'd like.

FYI, there can also be some sleep disruption due to withdrawal symptoms.

Hope this helps, and wishing you continued success!

I actually enjoy the vivid dreams side effect. My wife, however, stopped taking them because of this side effect - she said that when she dreamed all night she would wake up feeling like she hadn't even slept.

This is my third try with Champix and feel pretty confident. The last two times I stayed quit for three months but would find a reason (excuse) to start again. Just remember - you'll always be able to think of (or make up) a reason to start again - either good or bad!

I've tried many times cold turkey, but never made it past around 3PM the same day. With Champix my quit days are not bad at all - I don't really have the physical craving, and the mental cravings - like getting into my car after work - aren't too bad either.

Best of luck! I hope you can get past the sleep issues!
