    Good morning fellow non smokers,
It's been awhile since I've been on here,  life got busy and exhausting (I don't feel more energetic) and well...
It's been 85 smoke free days, I've also saved over 5 days of my life and if I could see the $560 I saved of not smoking 1615 cigarettes id be really happy lol!
1 day I decided to be brave and start weaning off Champix - I have been Champix free for 2 1/2wks. Not smoking on my own feels fabulous and to enjoy not smoking- now I'm not fighting the elements, I decided, I committed and I quit and I stayed quit...proud of me!!!!
There are more days when I don't think of NOT smoking - I like that! I am starting to relax some thank goodness for that! There are moments though, when I think I should have a smoke, like after meals. The thought is fleeting and I am glad for that!
I believed day would come, and it's that whole in between part - you know when you decide and actually begin quitting until the day when a lot of you folks were reminding me this day would come. .aye aye aye!

Have a great non smoking day

    Good Morning nerak47!

    What a wonderful update!

Life has a way of continuing on and keeping us elsewhere but it is nice that when you can, you've come on to share with the community these experiences.

Many of our members are going to be really encouraged not just by your 85 days of success but the knowledge, that yes, "there are going to be days when I don't think of smoking" as truly motivating to keep on going. You've kept that reminder going, it is going to get easier and nerak47, is living proof of it!

Congratulations nerak on your quit. Thank you for the inspiration and certainly, I hope you are treating yourself well for this!

    Lillian

    Hi nerak47,

WOOHOO, way to go on 85 days smoke free!  That is fantastic!  And you weaned yourself off Champix.  Wow, you should be so proud of yourself!  You are going to have more and more days when you don't think about smoking at all.  And what makes it easier is that the majority of people these days don't smoke, so you don't have constant temptations everywhere you go.  Are you starting to enjoy the freedom?  Isn't it nice not to be a slave to your addiction?  To me, that is one of the best things about being a non-smoker.

Keep the quit, nerak47.  I hope you celebrate big time, because you deserve a lot of credit for this major accomplishment!

    Hi everyone,
eagerquit, thank you for your kind words! We can do this quitting together and continue inspiring each other!!!
And treepeo,  thank you too. I am enjoying being my own person. It's funny, I didn't realize how much a slave I was to the cigarettes until I was quitting and noticing others going 'for a smoke'. I am enjoying being free from that.
Lillian, you almost made me blush!

    Hello Nerak 47

Good on you and congratulations on 85 - close to 90 days by now!

That is fabulous and it is so great when you get to the point where you can feel that you can wean yourself off of your quitting aid Champix.  It sounds like you are getting stronger and more confident in yourself - you deserve to be proud of yourself.
Keep going and have a great day - enjoy your freedom.
