I am one of the lucky ones it seems. I am hardly affected by cravings of any significance. Yes, i feel them fleetingly now and then since i quit cold turkey. I left housework undone in case i need something to do. A couple days ago my fridge got a clean out and scrubbing (to negate them) and make room to incorporate the best foods to reduce cravings, provide anti-inflammatory protection, antioxidants,  and even foods to increase dopamines. (mood enhancers)

I am still using my tonic  to keep cravings at bay as well as keeping my body detoxed of everyday pollutants and radicals. , Now  that i have stopped smoking, i am eating pineapple, (and  I don't throw out the core which provides the most bromelin)  I have still to cough up any tar from my lungs. I can take deeper breaths and haven't been short of breath. (mild COPD)  I am also avoiding a lot of high fat dairy as not to cause more work for the lung clean up crew. I am so relieved to know that even any cilia i may have damaged at this point will repair its self in a few months.  Once dead, they stay dead.               Ceceilia, I'm down on my knees, I'm begging you please ...... to come home.

Coming thus far, i am certain i will continue on the healing path. There are so many resources on the internet to make the transition easier. Have an open mind and keep everything in moderation.

Keep on the right path all and you will be greatly rewarded.

    Hi Shazzan!

Wow, look at all you've accomplished! You've prepared and planned for everything so thoroughly. I think that has definitely been part of your wonderful success so far. It shines throughout your post just how determined you are. Quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for your health, especially your copd. On top of that you've added all of your healthy eating and good nutrition which can only add to that.

Congratulations Shazzan on your success and be proud, you are taking the best possible care of your health in so many ways!

    Lillian
