    After long time

With no support, all the cravings, triggers, negative thoughts come back.
Is like I have no cure!
I know is wrong! even do, sometimes I feel so strong to keep the quit! and sometimes Not!

I guess start over! start thinking positive!

Have a nice smoke free day!

    Hi brieffree,

I am not sure what you are saying.  Did you slip?  Or are you just suffering from cravings or negative thoughts?

You know, you can't always be strong.  It's not natural.  Sometimes you have to let yourself feel bad.  Feeling sad or stressed is just a part of life.  Because sometimes life is hard.  And sometimes life isn't fair.  But if there were no problems in life, then we wouldn't be able to appreciate the really good things that come our way.

You have overcome a lot of problems, brieffree.  You are an amazing person.  I'm sorry you are going through a rough time right now.  But as you know, things will get better.  They always do.

You know in your heart that smoking won't make anything better.   And you have worked way too hard to become a non-smoker to blow it now.  Hang in there, my friend.  Better days are coming.  Believe in yourself!

    Hi brieffree,

As treepeo mentioned, having days that don't go according to plan is a normal part of the process. The important thing is to remember why you are working towards your goal of being smoke-free and take things one day at a time.

    Hi Treepeo

I screw up, I  smoke 2 days totally conscious of what I want it! All because I had no Support!
I know is wrong, I know how to deal and I did not care. My addiction won this battle! for a wile!

    I just by Lozenge mints.

I can not afford the Mist anymore! $50.

I am going ok, day 1 smoke free!

    Hi brieffree,

It's okay.  You made a decision to light up, and now you have decided to stop again.  That is the important thing.  Good for you.

If you really want the Mist and you cannot afford it, speak to your doctor.  Maybe he or she can suggest a way that you can get it for free.  Or even someone here.  I don't know if the Mist is included in free NRTs given in stop smoking groups.  Quit coaches, do any of you know?  I remember that the Mist really helped you before, brieffree.  Since you spent money on a few packs of cigarettes, can you maybe buy one Mist to get you through the roughest times?

I am rooting for you, brieffree.  You can get back on track.  Remember, you deserve to live a smoke free life.  And you are strong enough to do this.  Believe in yourself.  You are stronger than your addiction.

Hi brieffree - stay positive.  Sure, you slipped.  But you know what you did was wrong and you got right back up, ready to keep fighting.

Just a thought, and recognizing that everyone is different, but you've been nicotine-free for so long now, are you sure you want/need to re-introduce nicotine back into your system?

Something made you think you needed to smoke.  But you now regret it and recognize that smoking did not help anything.  That mentality is the maturity of a successful quitter.  Brieffree - you are a successful quitter.

    Brieffree,

So you slipped. No big deal. Get right back to your quit.

You know, you were one of the members who helped me keep my quit by being there and posting replies and words of encouragement when I first started my quit.
One of your first posts to me: "you are doing great! Relax, you passed 5 day's so far, so you know how to prepare for day 6 and 7, the rest will be much easier. Try to regard your self for a good job!
    You deserve to be free!"

So now it's my turn: You are doing great. Get back to your quit. YOU DESERVE TO BE FREE.

I have an almost full Nicorette Mist from when I first quit that I only used like 6 times. I can pass it along through someone at smokers helpline if will help you.

    Hi brieffree,

Some local supports do offer the mist, you can find those by following the tab "Find local support" at the top of the page. We can also help you to look into that if you call us at 1-877-513-5333. That's such a kind gesture to offer the mist atp, but unfortunately we wouldn't be able to pass it on.

I will also take the chance to remind everyone that we are offering free NRT trial packs that include 2 Step 1 nicotine patches and 15 pieces of 4 mg nicotine gum. You can register for that offer at the tab "Trial Offer".

As the others said, take things one day at a time and remember why you are making this change for yourself.

    Grace
