today is day 2 for me and happens to fall on my main payday and is banking I had to get done. thank gosh is most online now. I made my payments transfers and didn't always go too smoothly. it got done and in the middle I started to feel a massive craving and my heart was going a panicy feeling that I had to have a cigarette and was difficult to focus on the task at hand. I tried deep breaths but the more frustrated and confused I got with the banking the more the little monster in my head kept screaming at me. I looked at my watch and was getting on for 6:30 and it hit me yesterday when put the patch on was around quarter to 7 or close to 7. am thinking is cause the patch is only good for 24 hours so the use of it was pretty much done. am not sure if that would be it but wondering if is cause was doing banking and stuff not always easy and gets frustrating that I started with a craving as because of this or if was just the patch the nicotine was finished. am I relying on the patch to much and that and not doing my work I worry. The whole time I kept in my head the quit coach that called me had mention to do make up a list of what its like to be a non smoker so I did. while this was going on I kept trying to remember each one I wrote down in my head and kept telling myself over and over what had written down and it really helped keep me on track and focus on my quit and being a non smoker. I got through it and said to myself I need to get into the shower so can get cleaned up and can put a new patch on. I just made myself get up into the shower cleaned up and put the new patch on. once I had it on it didn't take away the cravings but after a little bit it slowly went away as I came here read the posts after with my cup of coffee and more or less set for my day.

    Hi Tiny2018,

You`ve done a wonderful job in handling your cravings this morning – Way to go! You have tried different strategies - you tried deep breathing, you have made a list of what it's like to be a non-smoker and you used the patch, just to name a few. You did your best and found a way to overcome this situation. Keep moving forward in this way - You are doing fantastic! Being flexible and creative in your approach can only help.

You are stronger than your cravings. Know that cravings don’t last very long – Sometimes, it might feel like forever, but it’s usually about 5 to 10 minutes. You can do this!

Tiny2018, you have worked very hard to get to this point and it shows a lot of determination and perseverance. Keep going strong!
